Overview: Great atmosphere, super cool interior design, and friendly service! Worth coming at least once to experience that alone. Food: all the burgers were amazing, wings (Milton style with jalopeno ranch) were fantastic, chicken sandwich had a really good sauce (personally wasn't a huge fan of it but I think it was still really well made). French dip is very good, very messy. Anna's eggs are good, not my favorite. But each individual piece of it is really good. My favorite is still the jerk chicken on the jerk Mac & cheese. Top notch comfort food with some spice. I love their soups & atmosphere as well. Any item you order will be made perfectly. I appreciate that they understand food so well. Prices: I would say their moderately priced. Burgers & sandwiches are usually $10-12. Wait time estimate: We went at a point where Google labeled it with "as busy as it gets" and it was about a 20 min wait inside but there were outside seats available (summer only, call ahead during spring & fall to check if it's open). Ate here for the first time last Saturday and it was great! The place is adorable and feels very comfortable. They are currently short staffed so service is slower but that's not an issue at all. Me and my family had breakfast and it was great, one of the few places I have seen anymore that has stuffed french toast! It was delicious and the coloring area kept our daughter occupied while we waited. I will definitely come back.
Love to go here for a weeknight dinner. The food is great. We usually get the ribs or some other BBQ (don’t skip it!), Mac and cheese for the kid, and one of the many delicious sandwiches. You may need to be a little bit patient with the servers but it’s worth it.
I have been looking for a place like this since moving totheTwinCities. You know, like a diner along the lines of a Seinfeld hangout, but with better food ? Anyway, this little family restaurant is great. My husband had ribs and I had the portobello sandwich. I didn't tell them to make it vegan, but the way it was made was so good, I think it would hold its own without the cheese. It had roasted red pepper and pesto to die for. Both of us had tater tots, which are so incredibly crispy like fried chicken, that I had to ask how they were made. Our server (who did a great job introducing all the dishes to us) said that the tots are simply deep fried, which makes them naturally superior in taste to my air fryer. I hope to go back to Milton's again to see if their other vegetarian options are as delicious. My husband already said he enjoyed the ribs and would like to try the jerk chicken next time.
My favorite restaurant of all time. Char, the owner (I hope that’s how you spell it) is super friendly and sweet and all of her staff is so hospitable and kind. Love some of the times I had with my friends sitting and talking with the servers who would sit down and chat with us when it was slower. Making a reservation was very easy. We were at our table within 2 minutes. Fantastic food and amazing service. Staff is knowledgeable for those who need to be gluten free. We were there for my 50th birthday. They offered a free dessert. I thought banana fosters was a pie, so said the others could choose. Staff went next door and got me a gluten free desert. They went above and beyond. Sangría drink was amazing. They make their own dressings. The balsamic was the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back.
9-6-25 I’ve been coming here for 10+years and we are never disappointed. I heard this weekend that Milton is closing at the end of October and we CANNOT let this happen. If ever a business deserves to succeed and continue to serve this community it’s Milton’s. Try the grits, the best in the Midwest 👍🏼 I’m not associated with the owner in anyway. I’m just compelled to let world know that this is a delicious place to visit and we should be so fortunate to have in our community.
Megan and I went to Milton's for lunch. This place is on Douglas. It's a small restaurant like a little nook on the side of the road. Very busy but not standing room only busy. Everybody was seated and comfortable and people stayed. Sonja What's our server. Sweet sweet little lady. She was so happy serving us. The atmosphere The rustic look I really loved it. I was in the mood for a hamburger and that's exactly what I got. Kind of like a California Burger it had hamburger avocado provolone bacon. Medium rare it was delicious Megan had a breakfast hamburger sandwich it had an egg on it it looked amazing the food was very well prepared. And visually stimulating I have some pictures I will post them. This is totally five star all the way except one little thing. When I got the check there was a $1 charge on each meal for French fries. I don't recall seeing something that said there was an extra charge for French fries if I had known I may not have gotten them because a meal should come with french fries or chips or whatever the side is that was a little upsetting to me but not enough to make me not go there ever again because the burgers were delicious. That was the one for all that I had the extra charge for the French fries. Megan and I also have the best seat in the house we were by the window nice little ledge to put our purses and we could watch the traffic go by it was it was nice. I will definitely go to this place again.
Staff was wonderful the greeting at the front door the seating how they wanted to make sure I was taken care of how they followed up. Every item of food was delicious French onion soup excellent. The food runners did a great job. Beverages were good head waitress was absolutely a charmer and contributed to a phenomenal experience. I do hopethat you will be able to stay open.
The food was so deliciously yummy. Filling. The service was very fun and friendly and not fake friendly. I introduced myself to one of the owners that day. I was so impressed with the food quality and service from Milton's team members that I encourage you to stop in for a drink, for the food and all around vibes. Plus, Milton's outdoor seating is spacious. The entire decore of Milton's swiped me off my feet with comfy, warm happy bubbles.
